David and his wife Amy raised five children. As rather new empty nesters they have eagerly embraced grandparenting. Meanwhile David’s parents and his grandma are still alive and well, giving him the perspective of being not only a grandson, but a grandfather. Not only a son, but a father, and a husband. With travel experience and service in Europe and Asia, David has a burning desire to help the poorest people in the world. It is this very desire that brought David to Thirst Relief in 2016.
David focuses on identifying, training deploying and encouraging Thirst Ambassadors. This can be an individual or a small business. Thirst Ambassadors help our team raise funds to make water filters through our local partners overseas. Even though millions of people lack clean water right now, each of our Thirst Ambassadors can change one family or school each week. To the people we help this is like a miracle. The miracle of clean water! Will you help us?

Jim David Hicks
Jim and his family of 6 resemble that of a small nomadic tribe calling Ohio and Florida home. "I think if God made the birds smart enough to fly south for the winter why shouldn't we?" But often still they can be found anywhere in the continental US traveling around in their RV. Jim and Lara's personal mission is to save lives and change the world, whether that's through advocating on behalf of those that desperately need clean water, helping a neighbor in need, teaching about the medicinal use of essential oils or changing a diaper. It all serves the same greater calling. Jim serves as the chief visionary at thirst relief and loves sharing the thirst story with passion while recruiting others to join our team effort to end thirst.
When Jim isn't traveling, speaking, teaching, changing diapers or oiling people up with doTERRA, he can be found daydreaming about living like Adam who climbs rocks, mountain bikes and ski's powder! Get to know him online: Facebook
Winston Churchill says…”We make a living by what we get…we make a life by what we give.”...you can see the embodiment of this lived out in the lives of Matt and his family. Over the past decade Matt has invested his life in bringing clean water access to communities in the developing world. After starting a non-profit focused on Clean Water Solutions over 7 years ago, and partnering with Thirst Relief on projects in several countries during that time, Matt and Jim decided, in 2012, to merge efforts and work together in bringing Clean Water to deserving people in the developing world. Matt has visited several countries around the world, worked with partners first-hand, and personally has seen and understands how Clean Water transforms communities as a foundational building block.
Making the great state of Texas home (also known as 'The Motherland') Matt enjoys life with his wife and 3 active boys...whether at home, on the golf course, the soccer fields, or keeping Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A in business.
Adam originally hails from the land of Ohio, meaining he personally decides who the president is every four years. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he started working for Thirst Relief and chasing his passion to help others. Shortly following he took full advantage of Thirst Relief's awesome remote operating model and packed up to move to Bend, Oregon.
Around Thirst Relief he can be doing anything from answering phone calls and emails to talking with our partners overseas and coordinating projects. When he isn't busy being a one-man-multi-tasking machine you can find him out in Bend climbing on some rocks, mountain biking, or hiking in the mountains.
